Affirmation of Intention of Conduct and Statement of Faith
In the Champaign-Urbana, IL area, empty tomb, inc. provides assistance to people who are materially poor, as resources permit. This assistance includes food, clothing, furniture, and home repair. Also, some limited financial assistance is available through the Helping Work and Medical Fund. Available assistance is offered, free in Jesus' name, to any person in need (being guided by Jesus' comments in Luke 6:32-36). empty tomb also provides service discipleship opportunities for members of historically Christian churches. On a national level, empty tomb's research analyzes church giving trends. Its Mission Match project is designed to help increase missions giving through historically Christian congregations. The leadership team of staff, officers and board members are asked to sign an Affirmation of Intention of Conduct and Statement of Faith as part of their more specialized service through empty tomb, inc.
HOME MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT/BUILDING AND GROUNDS PERSON
Part-time position starting: July 2010
Beginning: Immediately; must be 18 years of age or older
Angel with a Hammer and Mop
Hours: 20 hours per week for the period of August 16 to May 15 and 30 hours for the period from May 16 to August 15.
If hired, the qualified candidate will be expected to participate in empty tomb's Mission Match® Discipleship Tree TM as part of the team effort to call and encourage the whole church to greater faithfulness in Jesus Christ.
Building and Grounds Duties:
Hours: 10 hours all year round, 7 a.m. - 9 a.m. Monday-Friday
Duties: Mopping staff/public restrooms and any maintenance to them, grounds work, shoveling, trash removal, change Exit sign/Outside building light bulbs, change furnace filters, cleaning lobby, weeding and plant flowers. Able to lift at least 25 pounds.
Home Maintenance Assistant Duties:
Hours: 10 hours a week, including Saturday mornings, August 16 - May 15. Hours increase to 20 hours, May 16 - August 15.
Duties: Assist Home Maintenance Coordinator with volunteers, Co-supervise the construction work, maintenance necessary for the empty tomb office and grounds, Recruit Assistant Supervisors for volunteer workdays, Create and maintain database of volunteers who have expressed interest in HM, organize tools in empty tomb shop area and tool van, and purchase materials for projects.
Salary: $10.00 per hour

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT - MISSION SUPPORT POSITION
Full-time, 40-hour-a-week position.
Beginning: immediately.
Spans a broad spectrum of service opportunities combining:
- Web programming and some server administration
- Publication layout
- Correspondence, filing, office work, duplication, recordkeeping
- General assistance to the Executive Vice President
If hired, the qualified candidate will also be participating in empty tomb's Mission Match® Discipleship Tree TM as part of the team effort to call and encourage the whole church to greater faithfulness in Jesus Christ.
Position requirements:
Duties: Web programming, including Python, Django, MySQL, html, JavaScript languages and frameworks; Microsoft Office; InDesign publication software (or similar) experience; Macintosh computer experience; valid driver's license; ability to lift 25 pounds; minimum two-year commitment; and bring a vision to help make the Mission Match Discipleship Tree grow.
Salary: $20,000 a year plus HMO for individual/family.
